KPF has signed a long-term contract to supply camshaft forged parts for automobile engines at the ThyssenKrupp-Presta plant in Germany, ranging from 20 billion to 40 billion won over the next five years.
Accordingly, in June 2008, KPF signed a long-term supply contract for automotive hub bearing forged parts with SKF, headquartered in Sweden, which is the world's number one industrial bearing manufacturer, and then again signed a long-term supply contract with a global company in Europe. , Once again, the technology of automotive-related forged parts has been recognized worldwide.
TK-Presta, which will be supplied by KFA, is a company that occupies 60-65% of the global assembly camshaft market and is supplying it to Volkswagen, BMW, Fiat, GM, and Ford. Most of the camshafts for automobile engines currently produced by the casting method are forged and assembled by TK-Presta, which has been developed by TK-Presta to dramatically improve the fuel economy of automobiles. In the future, the camshafts for automobile engines are rapidly assembled after forging manufactured by TK-Presta. The market is expected to be reorganized rapidly in a way. For this reason, it was difficult to accurately calculate the supply contract between the two companies, so the contract was made based on the minimum predicted quantity, and additionally reflected in the future market growth.
With the Korea-EU FTA, which will take effect on July 1, KFF is expected to increase its price competitiveness further, as it will significantly increase its exports to Europe in the future as the 3.7% tariff was changed to no tariff. In addition to this contract, a long-term supply contract with European wind power company Game is coming soon, and SKF is also negotiating for another additional supply, so it is cruising toward the goal of becoming a world-class general forging company worth 500 billion won within 3 years.
